THE FEAST:

“The Feast” is a cross-disciplinary series of programs addressing
social innovation and new ways to make the world a better place.
Our secret sauce lies in a healthy combination of passion, creativity,
and entrepreneurship to shift the way things are done – thereby
changing individuals, industries, and ultimately the world.

As part of "The Feast Summer Series," All Day Buffet will be
hosting different salons, workshops, and dinners leading up to
"The Feast Conference" on October 1st in New York City.

THE FEAST SALONS:

Short talks and insights from
remarkable speakers.  No drama.
No ego.  Just intimate conversations on how to change the world.

Monday, August 31, 2009
6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
MEET at the Apartment
101 Crosby St, New York

INSPIRING GOOD:

Visual design, thinking big, and asking fifty questions --
this trio of speakers doesn't hold back on inspiring good.
Come get a taste of The Feast at our first Summer Salon.
We guarantee, you'll get Full on Good.

CONFIRMED SPEAKERS:

Nicholas Felton // Feltron
Nicholas Felton spends much of his time thinking about data, charts and our daily
routines. He is the author of several personal annual reports (feltron.com) that collate
countless measurements into a rich collection of graphs and maps reflecting the yearʼs
travel, photography, music, food, drink and reading. He is the co-founder of
Daytum.com, a site for counting and communicating daily data, and regular designer of
information graphics for numerous editorial clients. His work has been profiled in
publications including the Wall Street Journal, Wired and Creative Review.

Peter Hopkins // Big Think
I'm the co-founder & President of Big Think, which is dedicated to promoting informed discourse online through video interviews and getting users involved in the conversation. The site launched in beta in January of 2007 and currently features over 400 expert contributors, from John McCain to Harrison Ford. Before my life at Big Think, I was a PBS producer, where I oversaw a partnership with Google to digitize and archive 5,000 hours of content from the Charlie Rose show and launch a new multimedia website to distribute it.

Nathan Heleine // Fifty People One Question
Nathan is an internet maker, creative strategist and lover of life. He spends way too much time in front of a smattering of glowing screens, and therefore has a strong personal motivation to make these experiences more meaningful. Nathan is the Co-Founder of Crush + Lovely -- a creative studio and consultancy that builds and amplifies purpose driven brands. He is also the co-creator / producer of Fifty People, One Question -- an ongoing social experiment that aims to capture a little slice of humanity while celebrating the connections between people and place.
